Open up Internet Explorer.
Click on the Tools Menu.
Go to Internet Options.
Click on the Connections Tab.
If you are connecting to the Internet with a standard 56K dial-up, click the
Button to the right of the Internet Connection in the white box.

Click on the checkbox for Use A Proxy Server for This Connection.
Type an ip proxy into the Address bar and the ip proxy port into the Port bar.
Click on the

Open up the System Preferences.
Click on the Network Icon in the Internet and Network Section.
When the Network Section opens, click the Proxies tab.
